Meet Dr. Haley Balego

Burnsville Chiropractor Dr. Haley

Helping people get back to doing what they love is what motivates Dr. Haley Balego every day. Whether that’s returning to the gym, keeping up with their kids, or simply moving more comfortably, she enjoys combining movement, education, and hands-on care to help patients build long-term resilience.

Education & Credentials

Raised in Coon Rapids, Minnesota, Dr. Haley earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities before completing her Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Cleveland University-Kansas City. Choosing to study out of state gave her the opportunity to broaden her perspective before returning home to practice.

Originally planning to become a physical therapist, her career took a different direction after working in a chiropractic office.

Seeing the impact that care could have on someone’s quality of life inspired me. I realized I wanted a career where I could help people overcome barriers, move better, and get back to doing the things they love.”

That philosophy continues to guide her care today.

EXPLORE OUR SERVICES

Treatment Approach

Dr. Haley brings a goal-oriented mindset to every patient interaction. She believes there is rarely a one-size-fits-all answer to musculoskeletal health, and her care reflects that. Rather than chasing symptoms, she focuses on understanding what each patient is trying to get back to, then building a plan to get them there.

Her approach combines hands-on care, movement-based strategies, and patient education to support lasting results. Her focus is on helping patients build long-term resilience, not just short-term relief. She is also committed to continually learning, staying current with healthcare trends, and remaining open to new perspectives that may better serve her patients.

Dr. Haley’s additional training and certifications reflect her commitment to staying current and expanding what she can offer:

  • MNBCE Certified Acupuncturist through the Minnesota Board of Chiropractic Examiners
  • Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Level 1 Certified, with training in golf movement assessment and performance optimization
  • FMCSA National Registry of Certified Medical Examiner (NRCME), authorized to perform DOT physical exams for commercial motor vehicle drivers
  • FAA BasicMed Certified Examiner, authorized to perform BasicMed physical examinations for eligible pilots
  • MDT Part A & B Trained in the McKenzie Method, with a focus on movement-based assessment and treatment for musculoskeletal conditions
  • FAKTR Certified, with training in instrument-assisted soft tissue techniques, taping, and cupping to support movement and recovery
  • CCSP Coursework Completed, with education focused on sports chiropractic, injury assessment, rehabilitation, and performance-based care
  • First Aid & CPR Certified
  • Small Business Entrepreneurship Certificate through Dakota County Technical College (DCTC), with training focused on business development, operations, and entrepreneurship
Patients typically notice something right away when they meet Dr. Haley: a welcoming presence and a genuine interest in listening. Her goal from the very first visit is for patients to feel heard, unhurried, and confident that they have someone in their corner and that they’re working together toward the same goals.

Life Outside the Clinic

When she’s not at the office, Dr. Haley is usually spending time with family and friends, walking her dog Miley on new trails, or heading up to her parents’ cabin. She’s a self-described die-hard Vikings fan and a proud sports enthusiast in general. Lately, she’s also been leaning into what she calls her “cool aunt era,” a role she takes just as seriously as any certification.
